Nur Afrina Balqis is a very happy and playful child with other friends. However, no one thinks that she is suffering from a serious disease. It also may lead to death if not receiving proper treatment immediately. The disease that affect her namely MPS IV A (Morquio Syndrome), it is one of the 50 types of LSD disease and the medication is said to be no longer available.

MPS IV A (Morquio Syndrome) is a very rare disease and it only occurs between 1 in 200,000 live births to 1 in 300,000 live births. MPS IV occurs due to genes. If an adult carrying an abnormal gene marries another carrier, there will be one in four chances with each pregnancy that the child will inherit the defective gene from each parent and will be affected by this disease. Therefore it is important to prevent at the early stage.

Although there is no medication, treatments are available for some LSD diseases. However, the cost of treatment required to reach RM 300,000 to RM1 million. As hospital fees and medical charges are added, it is often a burden for a simple family. This children needs proper treatment quickly so that they can live and play like other children.
